Default Seafoam?

Alright, ive seen post after post of people saying they "seafoamed" parts of their car. What is this? Is there any benefit? Should i myself do this? I am confident with working on cars and am willing to try new things so some info would help! thanks guys!

Google is your friend.

http://www.seafoamsales.com/

It's an additive/detergent/etc for various parts of the car. How well it works varies by which mechanic you ask. It IS one of the older products with a more solid reputation, I do believe.

Personally, I'd take it over Slick 50 or any crap you see on a TV infomercial.

It is an additive that I have used for a number of years with good results.

You can use it in your gas tank and crankcase. It will clean out deposits and other gunk.

IIRC it runs about $7.99 a can. You can find it at Autozone or your favorite auto parts store.

MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) is another product that is reccommended to help out with deposits, etc.

These are good for use on a frequent basis.

Thank you both for the swift reply's.
My only concern here is i just ran a bottle of injector cleaner through my tank a couple of fill-ups ago. Should i still add it to the tank?

It just worked for me! I had a pulsating that I couldn't make go away. I was about to replace the fuel filter hoping that would fix it... but Seafoam seems go have done the trick! It took about 20 miles for it to clear up.

i myself have been using it for years now as well, on different vehicles. only 1 case where it destroyed my spark plugs, because the engine shut off half through the treatment, and i was irritated and revved the crap out of the motor. other than that, it does wonders.
