2003 VUE 3.0L
Default 2003 saturn vue 3.0 proper "cold air intake?

so be honest...what do you think? in a previous post i had a cone filter stuck onto the end of the factory intake tube but (and yes I realized it all along) even though it sounded cool I had created a hot air intake. soo i dropped about 35 bucks at autozone and created this. the picture is crappy but you get the idea, i was able to use the factory MAF obviously the rest just kinda went together. the cone is right behind the fog lamp now. couldnt really find any cai's for the 3.0 so i made my own. honest opinions and suggestions are welcomed.
also i used some of the factory mounting brackets as supports with some of the metal bolts and nuts and brackets that came with the intake parts so it isnt really flimsy

Looks like nobody got back to you on this. I have the 3.0L 2003 and looked at your setup. What you need is a scantool you can drive around with and observe the "AIT" value. The OEM AIT yields 6-10F over ambient above 35MPH.

I've considered pulling out the passenger side headlight and installing a flexible hose to the existing CAI inlet to take it down to the RF faux brake cooling inlet. Easy to do and with the OEM delivering close to ambient (at speed) anyhow, more a curiosity to me than anything.
