Default 2005 Ion P0601 code - Which replacement PCM?

I have a 2005 Ion-2 manual transmission, and it has been throwing P0601 PCM checksum. It runs OK after clearing the code, but it is probably time to replace it. Plenty of threads covering P0601 and a big thanks to the posters.

But which one is the right one? Is the number in the upper left the right one? In this case it is:
12596919

But some EBay sellers use the service number, 12589999. And then there is the bar code.

So which one do I use to order another one?

Thanks!

Before replacing PCM for any of the 6 hundred codes make the battery and connections and cables are in good condition. Will the available PCMs have the correct calibration programmed in it? If new it may not be programmed at all.

Update - Now the P0601 won't clear and the car won't turn over.

Battery connections are OK, reseated connector, no change.

Any suggestions? I saw one place that claims they can do a pre-programmed PCM when you supply the VIN number. Does that make sense?

If they have a tech 2 and somehow access to the oem flashes. I would just get a new one from a dealership if you can afford it, a known good one from an 05 or 06 ion.
