Default daytime running lights

i started my car the other day and the daytime running lights blink five or six times then shut off and haven't come back on. Any help?

Check both of your high beam headlamps, one of the bulbs may be burnt out. Also, if the bulbs are ok, check the headlamp fuses in the underhood fuse block. Sometimes the headlamp wires chafe on the headlamp brackets and blow fuses.

So I have disabled my daytime running lights by pulling the relay and soon discovered that the right high beam wasn't working so I put it back but now I have no drl and now the cooling fan does not kick in on its own anymore. Any suggestions on how to fix this.

Welcome laemjohnson, err, um, you do realize you are posting onto a 2006 thread right?

There is zero connection between the DRL relay removal and replacement and your radiator fan.

The cooling fan only comes on:
- If your AC button is pressed to "ON" AND ambient temp is like above 45 degrees F.
OR - the AC is off, and your coolant temperature gauge is approaching 3/4 and nearly at the RED zone. (what year, mileage and model saturn do you own?).

Maybe the fan is shot, maybe you have a blown fuse, maybe the wiring or connector at the fan is broken/frayed or disconnected?
