Question Throttle bodies on DOHC

Even though the Saturn is just my winter vehicle, I have gotten used to the nice feel of the feather touch of the throttle body on my show/street car and to be perfectly honest, there is a bit of a stick to the throttle as you engage it right now.

Does anybody make a nice, feather touch TB for the DOHCs?

Not sure what you mean by "feather touch"... If it is sticking, remove the thottle body and give it a through cleaning with carb cleaner.

if you mean an enlarged throttle body, check on www.spswebpage.com for some.

By "feather touch" I mean little effort if required to engage the throttle. When I went from my 55mm to my 65mm on my Focus it really wasn't so much a HP gainer but the throttle response gain was damned nice (lighter spring).

I saw the SPS page earlier, does anybody offer them where you DON'T have to mess with a core.

Is that as big as they get for the 1.9 DOHC, 52mm? Seems small, but I am new to the Saturn performance parts world.

Again, extracting HP isn't my goal here, simply throttle response and feel.

Get a spare at a junkyard and bore it out with a dremel.

That is all sps does.

My throttle was sticking closed. All it needed was an adjustment to the idle screw. Voila! No more stinking throttle!

I also got a throttle body for 6th Planet and sent it to Mid Penn Motorsports (RIP) for a proper taper bore job. It looked great but the TB was for the wrong year! D'oh! So, I says fuggit and took a Dremel to my TB. Not bad but not perfect. The benefits are a bit quicker throttle pickup and MAYBE a horse up high.

Maybe a lighter return spring on your existing TB? That should lighten up pedal feel, though it may decrease the speed at which your throttle plate snaps shut when you let off the gas. I've heard of some people adapting the TBs from GM's 3x00 series of V6 engines, but that was more to due with force fed applications.

mine sticks a little, I just got used to it cuz there really wasn't much room to fix it after the throttle body was bored out.
