Dazed The Long Kiss Goodbye

The long kiss goodbye.

To my car, that is.

I'm leaving for college at UCSD at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning...500 miles away from home. As a freshman, I'm not gonna be taking my car down there.

Glad I waxed it all those times that I did. The paint is glossier than when it was new.

I'm gonna miss my car. I won't drive again for three whole months. Agh! Sorry...just had to rant about that.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

I actually chose not to get a car untill after I could bring it to college to avoid the car sitting un-used for months on end(actually, 3rd year but o well). Make sure someone at home starts it up every week and at least lets it run for a few minuets, if not drive it around the block a few times.
Upon starting my SL2 after a week away up in VT, it sounded like one cylinder was getting no oil/had no compression etc. for around 30 seconds untill it finally "smoothed out" and the engine stopped hurling itself back & forth in the engine bay lol...scarry stuff.
Even if I don't drive it every week up at college, I make sure to start it up every Friday for a few min...

Sad

I feel for you. We're getting ready to trade in our 94 wagon. While, it'll be nice to have an L-Series, I'm gonna miss her. She's been a good car and I'm giving her the royal treatment right before we say goodbye.
