Default 02 SL rear deck Speakers

Replacing the rear deck speakers in my SL this weekend, any pointers for the installation??

Push front seats all the way forward, fold back seats down. Pop plastic "molding" thing out under the deck cover thing. Pull deck cover out.

The speakers are now were you can get them out

I beleive there are little black "screws" if you wanna call them that... holding the speakers in the hole, you can yank them out with a pair of plyers.

Undo the wires from below. Replace Speakers. reverse process


By the way sorry for lack of better words, hopefully they are good enouph.

side bolsters have metal tabs that also hold the rear deck cover in place.You have to pull those out, but it's not necessary to remove it. Also, one slip and you may have a "Sheet metal" cut (i got one) so be careful.

i wasn't able to remove my cover on my 93, so if you do get stuck, i ended up cutting off the bottom of the all the plastic screws (i hate those ******** things), and put in metal screws held on with lil' V brackets on the bottom. Much stronger, and easier to install/remove.

Best Buy normally charges that.Unless you can get a free install on certain items.
