1999 4 door sl2 Drivers door seal is leaking when raining. The rubber is all compressed. Is a new seal available? If not anyone have a replacement substitute?

Default Re: Drivers door seal

If you are sure it is the seal itself, rather than the door top, you may want to call around the local body shops to see if they will sell you the weather seal by the foot. They should be able to tell you what will fit and work.

AFAIK, there isn't another way to get new seal.

You can always scout junkards to see if you will luck out on good condition weather seal, but at the age of these cars, it is a long shot

Default Re: Drivers door seal

Often this is the trim along the edge of the roof where the wind seal hits. It is attached to the roof with adhesive and it breaks down over time. I just pried the edge up and resealed it with gasket maker, ultra black because that is what I had on hand.
