Question PCV breather hose fitting

I have a quick question for the guru's.
2002 SC2 47K miles. This is a new to me car.
The breather hose to intake tube fitting has come off. Nothing looks broken.
Looks like the PO had tried to fix it with some form of stickum which failed miserably. Turned to a slimy goo.
Does anyone know how these are attached from the factory? Bonded in place? Some form of clip I am missing?
I was thinking of re-attaching it with some Permatex Ultra Black RTV and then a clip I will have to fashion.
Thanks.
