Default Rallycross on ice in MN

Hello,
I will be attending the rallycross on ice again tomorrow. Sorry about
the late post on this, but I didn't know if it was going on until
today. Directions and entry fees can be found on this page:
http://www.deskmedia.com/~gregy/ , but I have more detailed directions
for anyone that is going (trust me, you'll want my directions). Looks
to be a perfect day with hardly any clouds predicted, temps in the 20's,
and low wind. I hope to see a few other Saturns out there!

Hi all,
Again, I went out and attended (and competed in) a rallycross on ice.
The day started out gloomy and foggy, but as the day progressed, it
lightened up and became a lot clearer. As before, I almost had more
seat time than what I knew to do with. By day's end, I had used nearly
1/4 tank of gas and had 30+ minutes of seat time on 20+ laps. Now I am
very confident of my winter driving skills and can't wait for the next
rallycross! Kudos go out to the local Quattro club and the SCCA-LOL
region for their awesome ability to organize the event. Thanks to
them, everyone went away with smiles a mile wide.

Next (and probably last) rallycross is scheduled for Febuary 11, so get
out those Hakkas and Blizzaks! Next weekend there will NOT be a
rallycross due to the winter carnival's wheel-to-wheel ice race in St.
Paul, MN. Most everyone at today's rallycross will be there watching,
including me. It's also free to attend, BTW.

Looks like a lot of fun.. I like to get in a slippery, empty parking lot and practice drifting turns.. Need all the help I can get with those affinities..

Hi everyone,
I'll be at the Lake Phalen ice races this Sunday from around 11:00-noon
until 4-5PM. The actual races are scheduled to run from 8AM-8PM, so you
could stop by anytime to see them and it's free to spectate. I may be
working a corner of the course, but more than likely will just be
spectating. A few people have expressed interest in meeting up there,
so here is appx. where I'll be: If I spectate, I'll probably be on the
west shore of the lake about halfway down because a bar/restaurant is
nearby (mmmmm...beer). I'll be wearing a black jacket with a tan
carhart hat, so if you see me, say hi. Weather is expected to be in the
mid 20's with little clouds at this point.

On a related note, the next rallycross at Lake Cynthia will be Feb.11.
The website has been revised with a better map and results of the first
two events. I'll be bringing double stuff oreos for whoever shows up.
The website can be viewed here:
