Default Automatic Seatbelts

I know the automatic seatbelts are kind of a sore subject for us Saturn owners but I need some info. My 92 SC has issues.....

Several years ago, a christmas tree was tied to the roof and the twine ran through the doors and screwed up the system. The backup shoulder belt clip was installed on the drivers side and its been like this for years. The pass side has the belt stuck mid track. I have not done any troubleshooting yet (not even looked at fuses) and would like some pointers, or better yet, a flow chart or something like that.

My other problem is removing the temporary shoulder clip.

I have heard about swapping in a 95 3 point belt setup but if its not a big deal, I would like to maintain the automatic belts. My goal is to have as much of a stock appearance as possible.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Default Re: Automatic Seatbelts

It cost me $50 to upgrade my '93 to the normal, safe, belt system used in '95+'s. Unless you know '91-'94's have automatic belts it looks 100% stock, provided you get the right color trim.

Allocate about 30min to remove from donor car, and about 60min to swap the parts in your car. Need the A & B pillar trim, belt, and maybe the door sill trim. Only "special" tool you need is for the upper attachment point, it requires a T45 bit. Pretty sure the rest is standard 10mm head bolts but they could also be some other hex size (12 or 13).

...
The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)
