Default TIP - Opening the Trunk from the inside

So i found out how to open the truck because the manual says nothing about it. There is a little grommet that covers the hole that you need to pull out. It takes a square object to open it. I havent figured the perfect tool yet but I have been using metal collar stays that I had in the car to turn it.

Also the square width and height it a little bigger than the key blade so that wont work.

Maybe one of these, for screwdrivers with replaceable heads?

1/4" square drive adapters

Sorry, don't have one handy to try out. But just stuck a 5/16" hex up there for size and it got kinda stuck.

Thanks for posting this - I've always wondered how to open the trunk if the battery failed. I wish it had a manually operated latch like the doors.
