Default Headlight Wiring

So I attempted the quad headlight mod and failed, but the question why it didn't work is not my question. I'm wondering why the driver side (this is the side I attempted quad headlight mod on) high beam won't work and driver side low beam heats up slower than the passenger side (HID kit) when I properly soldered the cables back together?
