i have ddm tuning hid's. high and low. all you have to is make the plug to fit into your factory plug. they supply everything you just have to switch the wires until everything functions right.

I was looking at this one for my 04 ION-2. They may have one for your model as well.

But be careful with which ones you get. The higher the rating, the bluer they are, the higher chance of you getting pulled over, as having blue lights (or red too) anywhere on the outside of your car is illegal. At least where I live anyways.

no, technically, nobody "makes projectors" for any car. you take apart your headlights, and put projectors in yourself. I'm pretty sure even OEMs source out projector production.

be aware that projectors focus the light onto one spot on the headlight lens, and might accelerate deterioration of the lens in that one spot. I've seen it happen before.

Also looking at these. There's a lot of situations I'm in where I need all the light I can get.

You need to retrofit projectors into the headlights, you can't just buy them for these cars. It's really easy though, but can be time consuming. I've done it on mine and I used Morimoto Mini D2S projectors, DDMTuning HIDs, and shrouds and wiring harness from the retrofit source. I can upload pictures when I get home, right now I'm using a friend's computer.

Do you still need the converter boxes or does it plug straight into your headlight plugs?

Also I changed my mind - getting these instead.

You always need the ballasts, otherwise they aren't hid. He put a lot of work into them himself.

For quad-coupe (I'd imagine sedan is similar)

1. Remove headlight and bulbs/etc.
2. Bake in the oven to melt the sealant (people have different preferences for this. I did 4 minutes at 350 degrees and it worked great!)
3. Pry the lens off the assembly, being careful not to get the glue on the lens.
4. OPTIONAL: One screw holds the plastic bezel to the lens, you can remove that and paint it if you'd like.
5. Remove the bulb cap. Apparently you can remove it by screw underneath somehow. I just dremelled it off.
6. OPTIONAL: Paint reflector.
7. Drill a small hole through the bottom of the reflector and assembly to fit the power and ground wires for the bi-xenon solenoid. Seal it with something.
8. Feed the projector from the front of the assembly through the hole in the reflector where the light bulb would go. You may have to dremel the hole bigger depending on what projector you use... they come in different sizes. I know a Morimoto Mini H1 will fit through, but the Morimoto Mini D2S is slightly bigger. Once it's in there, use the washers or whatnot that the projectors came with to hold it in place. (The morimoto D2S you have to put the bulb in the projector before doing this... others may be different).
9. OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED: I would highly recommend installing shrouds because it will make everything look so much better. Some glue on, some snap on, either way its real easy.
9. At this point I would wire the car up according to whatever wiring harness you are using. Attach the wiring harness to the ballasts and turn the lights on. Make adjustments to the projector aim if necessary. Don't worry about up and down, you can adjust that at the end anyway. Just make sure the cutoff is straight.
10. Now go back inside, start your oven again, and put the lens and assembly together and wait ~4 minutes for the glue to melt up again. When you take the headlight out, push the lens and assembly together to hold the glue in place (clamps recommended to hold it until it dries).
11. Put headlights back in car once everything cools down.

(I am not responsible for anyone burning themselves or breaking something.)

I used:
-------
Morimoto Mini D2S Projectors
DDM Tuning 6000K HID kit (slim ballast)
Morimoto Standalone Can-Bus Wiring Harness
E46-R Shrouds

That looks badass as hell. But I'm running aftermarket headlight fixtures on mine. They have what looks like clips along the top, bottom, and sides. I might be able to just pop the plastic off them with a flathead screwdriver.

Edit: Nevermind. Damn things are glued on. Which sucks because honestly I'm a little weary about baking my headlights

fenderguitars77, not a fan of smoking the headlight lenses, IMO, it renders your blinkers and reflectors useless. also, it gives the police one more reason to blame you in an accident.

dracoazule, I take it you broke one or more of the tabs, good luck getting your headlights to re seal now, you might just want to buy new ones.

Nah I didn't actually. I still had the old headlight assembly which was also aftermarket and already destroyed. So I did an experiment with them to see if I was right or not. And yea, I did break the tab. But the headlights were ****ed anyways lol

You know what I might actually buy a whole new set of lights to do this with. Never know when I might need to switch back to stock.
