Default engine heater for an 09 Aura with the 3.6L

Anyone install an engine heater on their Aura? I'm thinking of a stick on pad type heater on the oil pan so I won't have to cut any hoses. With the all aluminum engine the magentic type heaters probably won't work.

Same here in MN no problem starting up when parked outside in the super cold. Hasn't been exactly warm here lately.

The only issue I have with the cold is the door sensors freezing. At least the dome light turns off when you start driving even with the door ajar message, lol. I found you can reset that too with the reset key on the wheel.

Twin Cities, Minnesota (Wisconsin) here too. I have had several cars with factory block heaters over the years and have NEVER used a single one. They are a waste of electricity with modern fuel-injected engines. If you really want one, I would have your dealer install the factory unit. The only advantages it will give you is a slightly shorter heat-up time and a lighter wallet ($$$ for installing the unit and the power to run it). These are not cheap to run, unless you have a source of free electricity. Best luck.
