Dizzy Cylinder Misfire again and again and again and again !

Car : '96 SL 1 Automatic

Problem: on going Misfire Cyl. # 4 (year 2.5)

Fixes:

New Ignition Module < all of these got rid of code for 4 months, code now back
New Coil Packs (both)
New cat.con. (original lasted 12 yrs !)

Plugs and wires 1.5 years old.

Should I replace o2 sensor ? Any Ideas? Has moderate oil leak (oil pan gasket or chain cover....around that area), is oil leak causing problem. At this point I just feed it 1 qt of oil in between changes, seems to work fine.

Getting new SKy next summer or fall, can I hold off on major repairs for problem without this car exploding ?

Thanks
Alex

Did you try spraying brake clean around the top of the engine-intake gasket, pcv, throttle body etc?

Let's see; ignition module, coils, plugs, wires, catcon, and the problem remains in cylinder #4. Have you considered the possibility of a fouled #4 injector? Its the last remaining part you haven't tested for including compression and an intake manifold gasket leak.
