Default What to do high beam lights?

i converted my low beam lights to HID's a couple weeks ago... and i still have Sylvania's Silverstar low beam bulbs.... I still like them and i don't want to throw them away... Is it possible to take out the high beam bulbs and put in the Sylvania's? And use them as DRL's? I don't need to use the high beam switch anymore because i have the HID kit

Personally, I'd mod 'em into the reverse lights. It'd take rewiring (to a larger gauge due to the increased power draw) but if you reverse at night it'd be worth the effort. I'm working on doing that on my '97.

...
The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

Low beam bulbs have that black junk on the tips, to force all the light emitted to bounce off the reflector and get aimed properly.

High beams generally have clear tips.

I wouldn't move the silverstars, or monkey with scraping the coating off etc. Just hold on to them, lots of GM cars take the same size.

Apparantly the sockets are the same, save for a tab that can be filed down.
