2007 VUE 2.2L
2007 ION-3 Sedan
Default Tires

Hi all.
I have a 2007 4 cyl VUE with P235/65R16 tires. I think these normally came with P215/70R16 tires but the dealer upgraded the original tires with white lettered BFG 'Wrangler' tires. It has about 50,000 miles on it but was thinking of replacing them soon. Can anyone tell me if I can stick to the wider tires and also what is the recommended pressure of these? The sticker inside the door shows the recommended PSI for the P215 tires.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

The 235/65R16 tires were an optional size. They came on mine with a package that included side air bags and alloy wheels. The door sticker says 30 psi.

Thanks very much! That's exactly what I've been keeping them at.

You are welcome. There is one caveat. The tire store sticker says 30 psi. The Saturn factory sticker says 35 psi. Sorry for the confusion.

Funny thing is M7Mayberry says his sticker says 35 PSI.
The sticker for the stock 215/70R16 tires on the car says 35 PSI.
...one more thing...
I mentioned I had BFG Wrangler but they are actually Bridgestone Duelers (couldn't edit it)

I had the Bridgestone tires as original equipment. They lasted less than 30,000. I bought Cooper CS4 Touring tires about 18 months ago. I keep the air pressure at 35 psi.

The door sticker was originally 30 psi but then revised to 35 psi after the near rollovers were discovered back in about 2004. There was a campaign to revise the door stickers. Why vehicles produced after all this went down still with the 30 psi sticker I'm not sure.

I run the 235/65-16's on mine- kept at 35psi ft/bk.

Wear is even across the face of the tread.

If I ran 30, it would be too plush and sidewalls would wear quickly( with how I drive.)
