Default Steering column rattle

Hi I'm new to this forum, but wanted to get some advice from Ion owners to possibly try and solve the problem I've been having. I have a rattle in the steering column of my 2006 Ion 3, which is noticeable when I go slow over bumps or if I turn going slow. All of the suspension components have been checked, and one of the a-arm bushings was just recently replaced, so I know it's not that. The noise is still there even after that bushing was replaced. I was wondering if other people have been having this problem and how best to fix it. I noticed there was a technical service bulletin for the '06 model, but my car is way past warranty (as in 72,000 miles + on it so far), so I'd probably pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. There was a technical service bulletin for the a-arm bushing, and the dealership wanted to charge me $350 for labor and a $25 part, which I think is ridiculous. There's got to be a better way to fix this without paying some outrageous cost to get it done. Any help would be greatly appreciated

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
