Default turbocharged sc2s

anyone know how much of a hp gain you'll get from a turno kit running 5-7 psi on your average boltons. wires intake and cat-back?

a stock DOHC with a t3 super 60 running at about 7 psi can make 200+ whp pretty easily. of course larger exhaust and fuel tuning (including a wideband O2 sensor) is necessary.

look around at www.turbosaturns.net/forum for a while. you might even spot some 400+ whp saturns..

i have a AEM UEGO gauge. it wasnt cheap but i feel is one major key (combined with a programmable fuel computer - megasquirt) to a proper turbo install. nearly as important as the turbo itself.

you can get them on ebay, summit, etc...

Ian, (qksl2) also sells them. $350 shipped.

Amazingly, there are from what I can gather, more turbo'd sedans than coupes. Cheaper to obtain, I know ($200 for mine).

Cutting corners, especially when you're talking in this magnatude, will only cause you to run into blowing the motor to peices.

Spend the money to do it right the first time.

Having run 19psi on stock internals I can vouch for this.

You HAVE to tune with a wideband if you want to run it for more than a couple of months. I managed to get by with a safc2 and reprogrammed factory computer for my fuel management along with larger injectors. But with out ever getting it on the dyno to finish it (was waiting on a clutch and an msd to arrive) hand tuning it cost me the motor and turbo (didn't take to kindly to ingesting parts of the motor).

I nagged my sensor off of e-bay for $100 (through work, and the dealer, and our jobber wherehouse, I could do no better than $280 new).

I was able to get a DIY controller pre-assembled from a trustworthy fella for $60 shipped.

$160 ain't too shabby.
