Amateur here, I’m trying to help a family member. Got a engine overheat/ac off on dash. Engine was running fine so changed coolant sensor and cleared dtc. Air conditioner came on after a couple of minutes and everything seemed good. Now compressor engages but fan doesn’t seem to come on. Checked voltage at fan plug and got 13.4 volts on high setting. Bench tested fan with 12.4 car battery and it spun fine. Reinstalled and fan won’t work with 13.4 at the plug. Can’t figure this one out. Would appreciate advice on what to look for. Thanks.

Fan ground may be the problem. While you found 12v on one wire, try tracing the ground wire or a continuity test (measuring for resistance on the ground terminal to chassis).

Also worth checking the resister in the wheel well for continuity.
