Dizzy speedo & odo

'93 sl2, speedo works fine but the odo & trip odo don't work at all.
any suggestions?

ps. thanks razorbak for the help with my abs prob. this is a great site and i hope that i can contribute once i get to know my saturn a little better. i am pretty with the tools.

There's a little gear in the odometer that is a known weak spot of the early models. Typically it fails right after hitting the trip reset button. If the speedo still works it's almost always the odo gear that's the problem.

You can try junkyards for replacement clusters (they may likely be on the verge of failure too), check with Joey at www.6thplanetusedparts.com (he rebuilds old clusters) or you can take a crack at it yourself. You may be able to find a replacement gear at a hobby shop or online (like at www.odometergears.com).

thanks gdelgrego, that must be my problem exactly.
man, this site is great. so much info and freindly members actually willing to help. one of my other vehicles is a dodge dakota and i visit a site for info and to offer help when i can and there is NO comparison to this site. once again thanks to everyone for all the quick responses and help.
