I have to get this inspected, but haven't got the light for it yet. In the mean time, I want to siphon the fuel out of the tank (it had almost a full tank when I parked it).
After going through and reading everything, I figure the easiest way is through the fuel line. I have been cycling for half an hour and still don't have half a gallon. This is going to take forever. So could one of you guys please direct me to where the frigging fuel pump relay is on one of these? I know which pins I need to jump, just not where the relay is. I have check the fuse box under the hood, going to go out and check inside the car now, and I have been looking around the firewall. Anyone know? |

If not under the hood in the engine fuse block then try under the console by the gas pedal or the other side. Relay socket pins 30 and 87 will power the pump immediately without the ignition key needed.

Any idea what it would be labeled as? On the passenger side there is another fuse box, but nothing there is labeled?
I am trying to find something on google and other sites now and no such luck. |

Look up Wolfman and his gallery for fuse/relay locations. The pin outs I mentioned are the relay socket terminals A standard 87A relay will have the relay pins embossed on its side cover or underneath. When you locate the fuel pump relay (access covers should have labeling too), pull it and examine it for markings. Carefully match the relay pin markings to its socket terminals 30 and 87. Wiring a jumper between relay socket terminals 30 and 87 will send 12v to the fuel pump. If you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring, you may do damage if the wrong terminals are jumpered. There may be a wiring diagram in Wolfman's picture gallery or a search within these forums may show one. Do not attempt a wire jumper if you are not familiar with wiring identification.

Should be the interior fuse box, passenger side, as you've found. The inside of the cover has the guide; it should also be in the owner's manual.

Should be below/right of the pair of power window relay's that are a bit smaller then a normal square relay IIRC. The relay will be marked so you know what pin number is what.

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a manual |
