Default Time to replace the front mount?

Unfortunately I don't have another one to compare it to so I figured my best bet was to ask the experts here; google's image search returned mostly useless stock photos. The pen was something I remembered from a youtube video that showed how to replace them in the sl2.

2.2L 2005 Ion 3.
