Default Condenser replacement

Need to replace the condenser on 99 sl2. I have searched and looked on youtube with no success. Does anyone have a procedure how to take the condenser out? Does the radiator have to come out or get pushed back? Does the condenser come out the top or bottom? I have much experience with refrigerant, that is not a problem. Every car has a different way of getting at certain parts an easy way and the hard way. Thank you.

You've been here long enough to know, no one can answer your question (honestly) unless you provide car stats. Put them into your personal profile to show up under your name. Year and model won't be asked every time a question is posted.

I will put them in the profile. I did include the year and model in my question.

Condenser is attached to the radiator. If I recall correctly you can detach it from under the car reaching up. Two 10mm bolts at the bottom with speednuts and the other 2 attachments are just hooked at the top.

I'm no mechanic but managed to replace my radiator without any problems. The condenser is just a easy. My only comment is you are dealing with an old car, the cooling lines may break when you try to remove them so be prepared for that.

Cool, please post pictures as you go. My condenser is banana shaped from the PO's offroading adventures. Hoping to replace it and get the AC working.

Per the nasty fittings at the drivers side of the condenser sure to common corrosion, I would replace the discharge hose and dryer/receiver and all corrosponding prongs. If system is open, suction line aswell. Consider all corrosponding oil loss/add for the 2 major items.

If entertaining the dryer/receiver, I certainly liked the bumper removed along with the gender skirts... The drivers headlight assembly is very helpful to remove when servicing any of these items.
