clacking valves

98 sl2
need some help.
once I accelerate rapidly or if I'm barely on the throttle or just coasting I get a clicking noise from the valves I think, but once I step on the gas lighly even it goes away, also during acceleration above 3000rpm I get a clicking noise. the clicking appears at all speeds. Please help.

MMO cleared that one within 300 miles of putting it in. I haven't actually looked under the valve cover to see what this stuff has actually done.

My buddy's 95 SC2 was doing that and it turned out to be a rod knockin. The motor blew about a month after he noticed it. I would suggest taking it to a reputable mechanic to check it out.

check the oil level too. in my old 92 sc, valve ticking happened when it was low on oil. also you might be hearing the fuel rail ticking? lift the hood and put an ear in there to hear where the noise is really coming from.

I had a similar problem after getting and oil flush at a jiffy lube style place. I had just bought the car and figured a flush was a good idea with 90k on it. Within about 10 miles of leaving i started getting a terrible clacking noise. Did another oil change, and it has been gone since. I was told it was a piece of carbon or other misc junk clogging one of the hyraulic lines for the lifters.
