ya same here. my car set me back some $19.000 as I fully equipped it....
I still got my temporary tags & original sales brochures also. when my car was ready to be picked up I got photos of me & my sales person & the balloons remember that?

No balloons for me. But definitely a picture with every purchase with my salesperson. I've owned all three generation s-series - 94, 99, and my current 02

my car had balloons all over it or near it (I don't remember without digging up the pics) & then we got a pic together with the car me & the sales person. then as we drove the car off the lot they all stood outside watched & clapped. that was cute I thought. it's a shame that all came to a halt with saturn's closing. I can't believe my car's already 13 years old. it's a 2001 model but made in late 2000.....

the car was put together in no time (it was special ordered to my specs!). I remember when they called me to tell me the car's in I couldn't believe it. I actually asked if I could pickup the car at a later time as I wasn't ready to get it so soon.....

what was weird back then was I worked at a company right near the freeway & I actually seen the truck go by with new saturns on it while standing at the company's front door daydreaming & I seen mine on it! surely shortly after I got the call. it guess it was meant to be....

I still like my car & couldn't imagine what I would buy if mine died. I really have no interest in anything they make today. nothing really interests me they make today or creates the sparkle in my eyes as when I seen my car for the first time.......

Same here, but mine was probably easier to locate as I just wanted a basic SL2, with a standard transmission (hard for car lovers to understand, but I think 95% of all cars are automatic).

I'm really going to miss the polymer panels, but I do like my new 2013 (purchased in October) Mazda 3 Hatch. The MPG is a little better than the Saturn despite it weighing over 700 lbs more. I just don't like having to worry about all the dingbats out there that slam their clunker doors on my new Mazda. Part of what I love about the Saturn is that I have no fear of where I park and if someone gets too close to me on the road.
I'm also still hoping that Elio Motors succeeds. It would have 85 MPG AND composite paneling - hope it is the same material as the Saturn! That is still at least a year away and I would wait for the 2016 model year to come out before buying if they make it - gotta let them work out the bugs.

I never heard of Elio Motors. the description sounds great though! ya gotta love plastic panels. no rust or dings. I wonder why Saturn got away from that as that was their main selling point...

The S series successor (theoretically speaking), the Ion, still had plastic panels. The problem was that they added things consumers didn’t ask for.

GM was dead set on using the Ecotech engine which required making the car larger. Gas mileage wasn’t as good and the car was more expensive. When you start taking away the most important selling points of the brand, you end up with a bankrupt company.

I still have mine yes and no. I have the window sticker from my first 1995 SL1 laminated. Unfortunately, that is also the same car that was wrecked back in winter of 2011. But, I also swapped over everything usable from that car to a donor car's frame (also a 1995 SL1), which I do not have the window sticker for (though I do have the Owner's Manual from both!).

Here's my window sticker from the 2001 SL2. I bought it on this day (Mar. 4) in 2001. On the way home from the junkyard yesterday, the odometer passed by 222,222 miles. It's still running fine, and without any codes.

got my window sticker, temporary tag, original sales brochures, pics of me with my salesperson with balloons on the car when I was picking it up for the first time. I got a brass Saturn keychain, & some other Saturn of mentor key chains & a brand new never used extra remote control...

We didn't buy it new, but picked up a low mileage SL2 for our son
and the lady we bought it from had it in her records.
I was looking for a parts car for our 94 with 300k on it but
with only 74k it turned the 94 into the parts car.
