Window sticker gas millage

Does anyone know what the new car window sticker city/hwy gas millage was for a 1999 Sl2?

Hmmm the best I can do is the window sticker from my 2001 SL2 (manual), which is listed as 27 city/38 highway. Which isn't too far off from the 24 city/36 highway that I've been getting despite the 152,000+ miles on the odometer.

I wouldn't expect there to be much of a difference between the sticker on a 1999 and a 2001, since not that much changed mechanically... but, please, someone correct me if I'm completely off-base.

I dont know about the window sticker but, I am getting a steady 31 in town and 36 on the highway so far. The wife has only put about 2000 miles on the new engine though. It should increase a bit. This is on a 99 SL2 auto.

Remember, when your car was new, we used MTBE as the oxygenator. Now, we use corn squeezins. Gasohol will give about 2mpg less than gasoline w/MTBE. The EPA fuel economy guide** was adjusted to reflect this.

EPA changed their testing methods, so a lot of vehicles have "different" ratings than before.

if you click on "Compare to Official EPA Window Sticker MPG," it'll show the new and old EPA ratings.
