rust on the side door

Ok - I don't know what they are called, but the trim on the side of the Relay? Well, one side is starting to get rusted on the top of it...I've had the Relay since June. Anyone else have this problem? I'm taking it in for an oil change and any necessary recall repairs next weekend and I'm going to bring this up, but I was just curious. It is only on one side too...weird.

Hmmm.......are the mouldings original or were they replaced as per one the many TSB`s....the earlier builds had curled crooked mouldings....perhaps the the door got "Scratched" during the "Re & Re....just an idea

Ummm...they are original since I've had it, I don't know if they replaced them before I got it though...

Yes...I just had mine replaced about 2 weeks ago. They thought it was dirt but after cleaning the vehicle and trying to rub it out.....they came to the conclusion that it was rust. I had spots of rust all over the moldings only....not the doors....yet.

I'm hopefully taking it in this week/end for an oil change, so I'll make sure they look at that (and the horn that takes the power of 10 people to honk...). Thanks!

The horn issue i have as well....just push it in at the top of the wheel and it works everytime....found out in another post about that one. The tech that looked at the moldings said that the paint was blistering and causing the rust spots. Good luck.
