Thank you Waiex. Because of your post, I examined my jack and now realize I should replace mine due to someone drilling 2 additional holes that look as though it might not be safe now.

The jack probably rusted out from the water - could have been sitting in water for a while. That's my guess for why my car did not have a jack or spare in it.

2001 SW2
Default Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Son has retired my former 2002 SL2 @ 239K kms (17 winters later) from road. Now, his newly DD was my 2013 Volt @ 171K kms because I moved to 2019 Volt before they were all gone, at least here in Canada.

I still own a 2001 SW2, it has been garaged for a while now...

Retiring/selling the 2001 SL1 MT 10th Anniversary Edition clone at 440,000 km's. It still runs well and shows well however there is some rust through on the floor and my daughter doesn't particularly care to drive it anymore. It's fixable but I don't believe anyone will go through the hassle.

We picked up a 2012 Ford Focus SEL with a manual transmission on Saturday. She'll be driving a combination of the 99 SL2 and the Focus as I'm torn on which one I want to drive. I like the Focus however I'm a bit emotionally attached to the 99 SL2.

Anyone in interested in acquiring a 10th Anniversary Interior? Hit me up; I can deliver the complete car to the Toronto area the weekend of Sept 28th.

Here's a list of the goodies it has, the ad for the complete car and some photos ...
  • black perforated 10th Anniversary leather seats
  • seat heater mod
  • perforated leather steering wheel with silver stitch
  • leather wrapped shift knob (not 10th Anniversary)
  • leather wrapped parking brake handle with silver stitch
  • silver faced gauge cluster
  • black pearl emblems
  • 10th Anniversary door cards
  • rear spoiler
  • gas strut hood prop mod
  • some newer parts (starter, radiator, front struts, left caliper, rear pbrake cables, etc...)
  • cruise control
  • also have leather wrapped shifter for automatic transmission available
  • missing 10th Anniversary tear drop alloy wheels (moved to the 99 SL2)

I need to start seriously looking for new tires... at least a pair. I noticed the other day the fronts are getting bad.
