2004 VUE 3.5L
Default Possible saturn owner saying Hi

Hey everyone!

I joined over here cause my fiance's parents are getting rid of their 2004 Vue V6 AWD and we were thinking about buying it.

I figured this would be a good place to get information. So far, I've read a lot about the VTI transmission issue and I'm actually 85% sure we're now NOT going to take advantage of the opportunity.

The car is as follows:
2004 Vue
V6
AWD
71,000 miles
Has had NO prior issues.

We would get it for whatever the dealership would offer on trade-in and we wouldn't need to pay interest. It absolutely fits our needs. Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed.

Given the transmission thing, I'm weary... The more I read, the less I really want to take the chance.

Hopefully I can stick around... as soon as I find out more, I'll make a decision.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

After more research, it appears only the 2.2 4-cyl FWD had the VTI transmission...

The honda v6 model got the honda 5AT trans which is good.

Can anyone confrim for me?

welcome to the boards. best way to confirm is post the question in the Vue area if you haven't already but I would assume that since its got the Honda 6cyl in it it probably doesn't have the vti trans

...
car bought 12/15/07
car MIA as of 7/29/09, recovered 8/5/09
