How many people to replace a crank sensor?

This is a true story.

A few hours ago, I was asked to assist with car trouble. The vehicle was giving a crank sensor error code along with two other errors. Vehicle exhibited classic signs of a crank sensor affected by engine heat, dying, needing a cool down before running then dying as engine heat affected sensor operation, rinse and repeat until the car limped home.
