1998 SL1
Default Cruise Control

Question regarding adding cruise control to my 1998 SL1 SOHC Auto. I have read over some of the past post but they give different opinions some saying that I would need to get it programmed at the dealership and others saying that its just a plug and play deal. My main question is to see if there is anyway I can check first to verify if I can put cruise control and if so what would I need and where would be the best place to get it? Is it something fairly simple or pretty complex with a lot of wire splicing and cutting? I would appreciate any and all help thanks.

Did you have to get the parts from the same model car as yours? After they flashed the PCM did you have any more trouble then that? Anyways I can get a pic of the parts I need, or is it pretty self explainatory. Thanks agian for the help.

You will need the switch and module off a 96-99.. 1 or 2 .Hear is something that might be helpful to you.To mount the switch. You have to make a cutout in the steering wheel cover.I took a piece of paper with me to the junkyard and traced the outline of the cutout. Then transfered it to my car.Came out very nice.
