Default The spam here

Is ridiculous. I dont quite understand what the robots (or the people who write the stuff that they post here) are trying to sell exactly. Any idea what thats about and how come they are so persistent?

What spam? Charlie is informed and deletes them as long as he's informed via the little box with the exclamation mark under everyone's name. The box next to the check box/symbol to give rep points to anyone worthy of a great idea, being helpful, good humor, whatever. The box next to the rep box is clicked on to open a private message to inform Charlie about spam, poor manners from members using negative remarks, cursing, and spam reporting. This is better than posting any remarks to the spam add as all this does is bumps the spam up to the top of the current posts instead of letting it die without comment. Directing a complaint directly to the Admin quietly is answered quickly since its assumed reporting spam may be the only pm's the Admin receives without cluttering his mail box with useless comments. If you look carefully, the bulk of all spam is removed - a result of quietly reporting them thru the spammers exclamation box.

Every month people complain about it. The only alternative is to filter first posts and have people WHINE ENDLESSLY about it like they did on 6S.. SPAM happens, just hit the report box and move on.. you aren't the first person to notice it.

Intention of the post wasnt to whine, just wanted to make note of it. Besides that, its only in this gate and others havent been hit by it.

This is the only forum i have seen where its been hit so hard by it. Others i have been on have had the occasional spam post that is advertising something- what, i have no idea and the way its written is highly confusing and i cant comprehend it. I have been tempted to respond but then i realize that theres no point and anyone who would think to click the links or look at whatever they are talking about probably deserves whatever happens.

Every forum here has been spammed. You haven't been around long enough to see it and hopefully no one will as long as members report it as described previously. Check the ones you already saw. If reported, they'll disappear in a few days.
