Default Strut replacement ?

Hi all,

I have a 2009 Vue 6cyl AWD and just had to replace the front struts so I did the full units and I noticed there is no “Camber” adjustment anywhere so does this mean that no wheel alignment is required ?

Thanks
TB

I'm providing material from GM service manual - no practical experience.

Camber should be adjusted if needed - see thumbnail and attachment for more info.

Couldn't you use offset bolts like on many other cars?

I changed my struts last summer on a 2007 Vue 2.2. I didn't see anything in the documentation talking about camber adjustment, nor did I see how you can possibly adjust camber given that the top struts bolts go straight in with no room for adjustment, although with your model that might not necessarily be the case.

...You need to get the adjustable cam bolts for your vehicle , put them in , in the place of the factory lower bolt and get it aligned, asap. only drive it to the shop, it will handle funky, until you do, hope that helps, DC.
