Default Location of Oil Filter - '98 SL2

Title says it all. I am looking for the location of the oil filter. A picture would be very helpful. Thanks so much!

Just unbolt your air filter box, its right under there, unless you wanna crawl under your car, and reach past that stupid plastic stuff, but you'll see it.

I turn my wheels all the way to the left. Remove that plastic part and you can reach the filter from beside the car. To remove the plastic clips I use a small screw driver to pop the center part and then the whole clip can be pulled out. I've never removed the air box so I don't know if that is easier. It takes me less then 5 mins total to remove and then replace that plastic part.
I have a 98 SC2.

Richpin's video's are awesome but I usually just do it from underneath. Use the larger FL400s, Supertech ST3600, Wix 51516 or other fine filter. There's a few more threads you can search about that.

Uh-oh, what have you been doing all these times? I am sure it was explained where it is. The post about the plastic is correct. Except for the plastic is called a fender liner, and the poster did not specify the side. Its on the passenger side.

The filter underneath the filter box is NOT the oil filter it is the transmission filter. The oil filter is located on the passenger side of the engine close to the firewall.
