Default Finally got her in!!!

I just want to let you all know that i did my motor swap from my TBI to a 92 DOHC motor. The motor runs great alot more power then what i am used to. I have to put out a very special thanks to lowsaturn for the motor and to lawerance 98sc2 for helping me putting in this motor. It took us 2 days to put this motor in. I thought that it was going to be a big head ache but it wasnt. it was actually very easy to do. So for all of you DIY guys out there going to do a motor swap, let me tell you its easier then you think. Well anyways here is a pic of my new baby. Also i did take a vid on her running, sorry to all that i didnt take a vid on puting her in it was kinda cramped in my garage. Since it was raining when i did the motor swap. In the video you do hear the lifters a lil but the sound did go away after a few runs around the block.

Looks good. I'm very pleased that everything went well.

I'm glad our engine found a good home. Enjoy.

It found a really good home, I will be taking really good care of her. Just like my last one. Right now she has syntech blend 10w30 but when i get paid she will be getting only mobile one. I just fired her up and wow she started right up. My last engine took a min to start, had to turn key twice just to get it started, but not with this one.

Again Thank you so much Lowsaturn, like i said you are a life saver.

right now she still has the sl1 tranny in it but it does get up and go pretty frikin fast. She is already lowered on H&R Sports, right now i have my 17" rims on it but i do have sc2 rims that are off at the moment cause i am going to put 205/50/15's, but that wont be untill i get the sl2 tranny, maybe lowsaturn can come up with one for me...lol

But it's great cause the few peeps that are here in sac think it is still a SL1... boy are they in for a rude awakning

i cant help but to pop her hood everytime i get home just to look at her new powerplant

I'm 48, so the word comes in it's original context.
That's awesome.

I ran the video 3 times to hear the roar.

I wouldn't mind a follow up video of a road run.
Let us know how you like that MPFI.

I'm feeling an odd void in my life. Is it because of the empty space in my garage where the engine used to be? Or that I haven't recieved an e-mail, text message or phone call in a few days?

I'm just messing with you man. I hope you're out having fun with the car.

hey i just texted you today....lol but yeah i am having alot of fun with this new powerplant. Trying to still figure out its limits. Also i know that my tbi motor was a lil lighter, and this DOHC is a bit heavier, do you think it will effect my handling a bit?

Probably not much. The SOHC engine weighs 196.74 pounds and the DOHC 220.22 pounds.
