The L300 automatic not fast enough for you? Its practically the fastest automatic under 30k (7.3 sec). Of course, im sure it would kick even more butt if it was lighter (SC sized) and a stick.

I bought my L300 because it satisfied my need for acceleration, I would have loved to by a 3-door, but the performance left a lot to be desired.

Don't jump to conclusion to fast there L300Boy. Phatmac did say he bought an L300 because it performed better than and out accellerated the SC2.

L300Boy, I think you misunderstood. He said he bought the L300 because it had the acceleration he was looking for, while the 3-door (SC2, I assume) did not fare as well.

Just in case anyone is interested, I just saw a picture of the new Chevrolet roadster (I forget what it's called) that's due out in 2003. It looks VERY similar to the Saturn. Maybe it's not so far off as some people think.

One interesting thing I just read about the Sky in a National Post article:

Quote:
The design incorporates the distinctive Saturn elliptical nose and rising beltline. The concept's rear end, profile and wheels resemble Audi's design tour de force, the TT. "That part's getting hacked off," says Mr. Smith. "Oh yeah, it's coming off."
I wonder what the Sky will look like when it hits the autoshow circuit this winter...

I think the SKY is a great concept car. A high style AFFORDABLE car could be a real kick for Saturn. Look at the cruiser a ho-hum powertrain wrapped in a very stylish body and it is a hit.

A affordable 2+2 roadster with the modular hard top type roof would be great for the masses who cann't afford the high priced roadsters.
