Default Armrest install questions

Hey guys went to the junk yard and found a third gen armrest and consol, is the armrest a drop in fit or would I have to replace the consol to? The new armrest has two screws at the back and the one in my car now does not. If it is a drop in fit how do I take out the old one out. My car is a 2000 sl1.

If your current console has a tray instead of an armrest, pull the tray up from the rear and slide it to the rear of the car to remove it from the console. Now you should see the holes for the armrest.

You don't need to take the whole console from the junkyard. You only need the arm rest.

I wouldn't call it the best ever but it definitely helps with comfort.

It does take some getting used to, especially with a short shifter. If you find it slides to easily, tighten the screws inside the lid.
