Default Heavy engine vibration, checked motor mounts

Hey guys,

I have a 97 Saturn SL2 DOHC with a really bad vibration that goes through the entire car. I checked the top motor mount and the transmission mount, both dogbones, the exhaust seems to be clear of the frame. It gets worse on random days. To describe the vibration, think of starting the car up and all the plastic inside starts rattling. When you increase the RPM you can feel the vibration go from the front to the back of the car. It happens that way in reverse when the RPM comes back down. I have no clue what's causing this so if anybody has any ideas please throw them out there. The car has had this problem for over a year now, but lately it's been getting worse. Thanks a lot.

Alex

And how exactly did you check all these mounts?
