Default Seperated at Birth? (SKY)

Everyone's seen the SKY in some form or another by now...and the consensus seems to be that the car is decidely AUDI TT'esque in shape and appearance. Well, I won't deny that, but check out this car....and tell me it doesn't look even MORE like the SKY or vice versa. Note the GRILL, the BADGE, and the split intakes in the nose...man, that's freaky.

SEAT Tango

Saturn SKY

Audi TT

I like the SEAT's expressive nose much better than the SKY. The side of the SEAT has that same clean with 1 curve theme that the SKY uses. The elements are all the same, the execution is much different. The SKY uses sculpted primitives, the SEAT uses compound curves. The rear cowling on the SEAT goes a little crazy, overall I like it better than the SKY.

Of the three, the AUDI is still the best looking. What do you think?

Like the TT? Sorry, the SKY doesn't have anywhere near that much style and panache.

The Z3? No- the Z3 looks muscular.

An MG? Too big. For that, you should be able to put the SKY in a matchbox without removing the matches first (not that we wouldn't enjoy a small car like that...).

The SEAT? Let me put it this way...

It ain't no coincidence Saturn, SKY, and SEAT all begin with "S". Somebody went ripping off designs.

Definitely closer to the TT.

However, the production model will probably have a different nose as the engine/ chasis integration for production v. concept are quite varying due to cost constraints. Cost will be the determining factor in trying to keep it under $18k.

Trouble is the SKY's square holely-grille looks so ugly and untouch. The SEAT has a subtle roundness with well-balance in chrome edge. Some work is still needed to be done in SKY's unfinished 'Hole' before it can go into production....not just like that! :o:

The SKY roadster's snout looks, well, unfinished, as if someone just cut out a square patch from the front end and stuck a Saturn logo in dead center. Cheeeesy!!! Hopefully that front grill won't be approved for production, but with Saturn, you never know!

Looks like a modified SEAT, but both draw cues from the (much more blander) audi TT.
