Default Clacking Relays

1996 SL2 222K miles. I have a intermittent clacking\clicking noise coming from the center console. I have replaced the two big relays on the right, no soap.
The noise is there with the engine running or not and even when the key is out on occasion. I am guessing the actual cause of the relay clacking is one of its inputs or a short some where. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot would be appreciated. Thanx Jim
