Now, with that 2000 Twin Cam, your peak torque will occur at 4,800rpm.

Your peak HP occurs at only 5,600rpm, however.

I would recommend running each gear to about 5,800rpm, then shifting.

Shifting at 5,600rpm will drop you below the 4,800rpm(about 4,300rpm) peak torque area.

Saturn never corrected the gear ratios on the MP3, to compensate for the smaller power band of the plastic intake manifold.

Anything over 5,800rpms will be wasting the gear with over-rev.

At least shifting at 5,800rpms will put you a little closer to peal torque rpm range, while minimizing your over-rev time.
