Default Wheres the EVAP purge solenoid located on the 92 Sl2?

Where is the EVAP purge solenoid located on the 92 SL2? And what does it look like? Does anyone have a picture of it?

Under the intake manifold above the starter. Track the vacuum line from the throttle body area that goes to under the intake. This will lead to the cannister purge solenoid.

Another question, can the solenoid be removed from the top? Or does it have to be removed from underneath the car?

Unless you have more than one elbow on each arm, you'll have to do it from underneath. The bolt's kind of tricky to get at. I did it with a 1/4 in drive socket and a wobble extention. However, some people just leave the old one in and use cable ties and tie the new one to it.

That's what I did- the bolt was stuck. Good idea to disconnect the battery, you'll be relatively near the hot on the starter.

I think this is a rediculous question, but after I replaced a hose that had a hole in it, my car isnt running correctly. So, does it matter if the hose coming from the Throttle body goes on the top port or bottom port?

92 Sl1 SOHC
