Hopefully someone here will have information on this.
I am looking for the wiring under the hood that pertains to the speed detection for the car. I am going to be installing a Pioneer avic-n3 navigation unit and the unit has to be tapped into the "Speed detection circuit" as they put it, which involves the fuel injection wiring as an example in the manual. Thank you in advance. ![]() |

WOW... no one had hooked up any type of NAV equipment and had to tap into the speed or speedo wires etc??? This is not good.

I did see a post few weeks before, about this. There was no mention of what speedo wire he/she tapped into. Certainly I dont know the answer. You might try searching the forum and PM that person. Or someone here will chip in....

ah... searching.
always a great idea. particularly before posting. i don't know what wire it is but I do know that the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is in the axle housing (or something along those lines) ![]() i dug up some wiring specs for SAFC's and piggybacks but didn't find anything labelling the VSS wire - sorry. keep searching. |
