Default Vin "7" Vin "8" Vin "9" brake pads/rotors universal?

Vin "7" Vin "8" Vin "9" brake pads/rotors universal?

So i'm looking at these pads: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...n+%26+Steering

and these rotors: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...n+%26+Steering

But they both say 1993-1998: Base; 4Cyl 1.9L Gas, FI, Naturally Aspirated, VIN "7";

Now... I'm under the impression that VIN "x" means how many digits are in your VIN number correct?

If so, I have a VIN "8"

So will these work? Are they universal?

brake pads and rotors, drums and shoes on 1991-2002 S-Series are the same.

Yeah so why do they have to confuse the issue with vin"7" vin"8" vin"9" some of the rotors/pads say different things on that page (after sorting by year make and model) and It's confusing, but thanks

They're asking VIN 7 or VIN 8 VIN 9 because that refers to the 8th digit, which tells which engine is in it; their retarded system doesn't know the diff between an SL or SL1 or SL2, so it ALWAYS asks whether it's relevant or NOT, and they have no way of knowing if YOU know the difference or not either.

Look here at ClapDaddy's post to grok the VIN schema in fullness (up to 2002) :

or try L300Boy's decoder here:

Saturns go, but you have to work on 'em to make 'em stop...
