Really? Only 197K miles after 22 years?? Aw shucks, this car is not even 2/3's or perhaps 1/2 way through its usable life!!

Congrats, this is great news!!

Inspirational, Mike.

Keeping my 05 ION [bought new, 71-72,000 miles] and planning a maintenance/ preventive replacement schedule for 2020 and 2025.

I have had one car for 38 years and the third has been in my family since I first bought it in 1994 and is back in my driveway modeling new paint and fresh mechanical bits and pieces.

Keep the faith !!!!

Oh yeah, the 95 Saturn SL1 in 05 [116,000 miles, and the reason for the ION] I bought and gave to my brother about 10 years ago just returned from a trip to NC from Tucson with nearly 200,000 miles on it and averaged 40-41 mpg.

He's crazed for the thing as you you can see in the photos from the trip

I got socks older'n that.

The SO bought her 96 SC2 new and clocked 330,000 on it before it lost compression. I stuck in a rebuild and she got another 20,000 before rust took it's toll. It's a parts source now.

We got her another 96 SC2 with zero rust and 150,000 miles on the clock. This one won't get driven in the winter....

...
92 SC2
93 SC2
96 SC2
97 SL2
97 SC2
99 SC2
01 SC2
02 SC2
02 SL2
parts
2 94 SC2 parted out
2 96 SC2
98 SC2 - rusty frame minus engine.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
