Hey All, well those that are left. My faithful Vue had a bad wheel bearing so I replaced it. I actually replaced 3 of the 4 this far but the hum didn't go away. I have added tranny fluid and I still get a hum. It is almost like it is coming from the CV joint but there is no clicking at full lock. The sound also gets louder when weighting the passenger side and quieter when weighting the driver side. It isn't significantly different but noticeable. The noise gets louder with speed and there is no change in gear or in neutral with the clutch depressed or engaged.
I'm racking my brain and cannot figure out what is causing the noise. Any ideas at all? Thank you in advance!

It's most likely the one wheel bearing you have not replaced. The fact you said the noise changes when loaded then unloaded speaks volumes as to it being a wheel bearing. You have probably noticed, Vue's eat wheel bearings.

What am I missing? What else could make that noise? Why would it be faulty immediately after install? I am banging my head against the wall here. I appreciate any suggestions.

Hey all, I'm still battling this. I noticed on a recent interstate trip that at 72 the noise begins to quiet and at 75 it is completely gone. At 76 it begins again louder than it is at 40-65. Any ideas at all as to anything else I can or should check?

Do you mean the jackshaft bearing? If so then yes, that has been replaced within the last 6 months. If I am not mistaken that sounded like more of a clunk when I was having an issue with that one. Or are you referring to a different part?

Thanks for the suggestion. Mine was just clunky before I replaced it. That isn't to say it couldn't have gone bad again. I'm ready to burn this thing to the ground but I don't want to let it win either.
