2006 Vue Crossbars

I've searched around and see some good conversations regarding this topic, but they are mostly centered around the OEM cross bars, which I cannot seem to find anywhere.

Has anyone had any luck with the cheapie aftermarket bars? The limited reviews I can find make it seem like the instructions are awful and modifications are necessary.

I do not have the raised side chrome rails, just the flat black strip. Ultimately, I just want to throw a kayak on top and the raised bars will help with securing the boat.

Appreciate the suggestion but went for the install today on some $60 budget pair via Amazon.

No instructions and half the parts wrong or missing. Bolts needed to be cut and no flat washers included. But it's installed and functional now. Good enough I suppose.
