Default Dead trans solenoid

My mom has a 01 sc2. It had all of the symptoms of the bad valve body and loose input shaft nut. I picked up another valve body at lkq and it was replaced along with tightening the nut. It worked for awhile then the problems came back. Rechecked the nut and we got a VB from eBay, remanned with sonnex parts. This time the problems stayed. My brother started testing solenoids and found that one was dead, also got the same thing from the junkyard VB.

Looking at the connector from the harness, it looks like it's been burning, black and melted plastic. What could cause this? We were going to try replacing the plug on the harness and the solenoid, but would like to figure out why it keeps burning them up to start with.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

When you have the Valve body apart, be sure to check the connector plate.. The holes the plate has for connecting the solenoid can be checked with a drill bit (Size #41 I think. Look in the threads. I know I posted the size but I'm not positive). If I owned those VB's , I'd throw away both pressure solenoids whatever they read and pick from the rest to make one complete set. Good Luck
